Three Takeaways:

  • Putting together a grid of different scatterplots (scatterplot matrix) allows for comparison and interesting viz p 188
  • The strength of bubble charts is that it allows you to compare three variables at one time – be careful to size proportionally p 193
  • Steam and leaf charts – and modified versions eg using treemaps within bars, as a thematic element could make for compelling visual storytelling p 202
